What We Do With Worn Danner Boots
Danner boots arrive at our bench with different kinds of wear: tread worn smooth, heels worn unevenly, or outsoles that have reached the end of their useful life while the uppers still have plenty left to give. When the boot is a good candidate for repair, we remove and prepare the worn bottom, correct areas that need rebuilding, and fit a new sole to the existing boot.
For many Danner repairs, Vibram replacement soles give us useful choices in tread, traction, and durability. The goal is not simply to cover the old sole; it is to create a sound repair that makes sense for the boot that is actually on our bench.
Construction and condition matter. We inspect the boot before deciding whether a dependable resole is practical.
Why We Keep Danner Repair Local
Not every Danner model, sole construction, or worn boot is a good candidate for the same repair. Seeing the boots in person lets us examine the sole, upper, wear pattern, and overall condition before committing to the job. That avoids the awkward situation of a mail-in customer paying to ship boots to us only to learn that we cannot perform a dependable repair.

Yes, Vibram is an option for many eligible Danner repairs. We choose replacement material according to the boot and the type of tread and wear characteristics that make sense for it.
Can I mail my Danner boots to you?
No. At this time our Danner service is local only. Please bring the boots to High Street Shoe Repair in downtown Salem so we can inspect them before accepting the repair.
