WE RESOLE ASOLO BOOTS
We know boots, and have been resoling them since the late 1970s. George, our shop cobbler, has rebuilt thousands of pairs of boots in his years in the business. He knows what works and what doesn’t.
Most original Asolo boots have two layers: a cushioned layer for comfort and an outer rubber sole for durability. On many Asolo boots we see, the cushioned layer is disintegrating, making the boots unusable.
The best way to resole most Asolo boots is to remove all of the original sole — both the cushioned mid layer and the dense outer sole — until only the bare uppers remain. We then rebuild the boots with a solid Vibram rubber sole, one that will not fall apart like so many of the originals.
